Herman Park Adventure

Today I decided to take Summer to Herman Park to feed the ducks. I have been sewing so much to get these dress sets together that I have not made much fun time for her.

It was really good to just get out and enjoy the nice weather. The weather was around 82 degrees today and was so enjoyable.

This is what we saw at Herman Park today.

Feeding the ducks in the moss filled water.

Turtles.

A huge school of minnows.

More turtles. There are a ton of turtles at this park. We saw a little tiny one that I would have liked to have caught, however, we didn't have a bucket or anything to catch it with. It was about the size of one of those mini bagels.

The squirrels at Herman Park can be vicious. This one came up behind us and started hissing at Summer. She freaked out and dropped a slice of bread. The little stinker swiped it and ran behind this tree. I went to get a picture of it and it didn't move. Obviously it is comfortable around people because it didn't even budge. I am sure they are fed all day long. Is there such a thing as obese squirrels?

Summer loves to pose, especially at stores when trying on clothes. This is inside a little house covered picnic table.
Cute smile.
We tried to get a picture of the two of us and it just wasn't working. We both look scary. Too bad daddy was at work. He could have helped us out.

Herman Park's mini imitation of Old Faithful. The paddle boats look really fun.

Another silly pose after she saw a bee. With all those flowers it is no wonder that bees might buzz near by.

It was fun, and I recommend the park if you are looking for a nice fun day. I should go more often. Maybe next time I will plan to let Summer do the splash park.

We love Hermann Park too. THe boys love feeding the ducks and running around like crazy wild animals. Your talk about the turtles reminded me that one time KEvin actually caught a little tiny one and he let it run around on the dock with the kids before putting it back in the water. Funny huh!
